Monday 10 September 2008 - Vivian Hogg from the J Arts Crew (Triple J Radio ABC) interviewed Alicia Bennett about her book DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR: The Crime That Broke Brisbane's Heart. This interviewed aired nationally during the following week on ABC youth network Triple J.

Tuesday 4 & Tuesday 18 September 2008 - B Magazine published two features interviewing Jack Sim about the Murder Trails Series and the Ghost Trails Series and their latest releases: DEATH BEFORE DISHONOUR: The Crime That Broke Brisbane's Heart and THE GHOSTS OF TOOWONG CEMETERY: Brisbane's Necropolis.


June 2007

The June edition (Vol 62, No 2) of the Australian Police Journal published book reviews on both THE TAXI DRIVER KILLER: The Southport Murder and THE RAMPAGE OF KILLER KAST: Terror on the Terrace.


April 2007

During his research into THE TAXI DRIVER KILLER: The Southport Murder Ken Blanch uncovered some previously unknown information connected to the murder of Betty Shanks, which Ken had previously written about in his book WHO KILLED BETTY SHANKS?: Brisbane's Greatest Murder-Mystery. This information was taken to the police and sparked a new line of investigation in the 50 year old cold case.

Tuesday 3 April 2007 - ABC's 7.30 Report aired a segment featuring Ken Blanch, Detective Scott Knowles & Des Sturgess in relation to the new evidence that has come up with Betty Shanks.

Wednesday 4 April 2007 - The Courier Mail published a full page article on the new link in the Betty Shanks case.


mARCH 2007

The Autumn issue (no.15) of Time and Place magazine (published by the Queensland Heritage Council) was an issue about 'Haunted Heritage'. They worked closely with Jack Sim to bring together the issue, citing his help in the front cover and featuring a full page article on Boggo Road Gaol.


January 2007
