Episode #25 2010:

The crawford murder mystery

A 1971 inquest found Crawford electrocuted and bashed his family in Melbourne's north AAP/WA Police. Source: AAP and The Herald Sun Online 2010.

On July 1st, 1970 a pregnant mother and her three children were brutally murdered by the man they called husband and father. For almost four decades the case ran cold as the primary suspect, Elmer Crawford, could not be found. Fortunetly thanks to facial reconstructive technologies, Mr Crawford has been found (not so alive and well) in San Angelo, Texas.

The bodies of Elmer Crawford's wife and children were found in the family car and driven over a cliff  in 1970. Source: AAP and The Herald Sun Online 2010.

This week Jack explores the ideas, motives and events that lead an everyday man to become one of Australia's most infamous mass murderers.
